Applying and Matching
How do I apply?
Prospective fellows may express interest through the Take Part page. Applications are considered on a case-by-case basis rather than through a single annual application cycle. In the Room reviews each prospective fellow’s artistic experience, qualifications, professionalism, location, availability, and professional goals to determine whether there may be an appropriate fit with a participating artist and production. In the Room will contact applicants to let them know whether a suitable match is currently available. If there is no appropriate match at that time, the applicant’s information will remain in the prospective fellow database, and In the Room may contact them if a suitable opportunity becomes available in the future. Submitting an application does not guarantee placement. Fellowships are created when the right emerging artist, mentor, production, schedule, and location align. There is no application or participation fee charged by In the Room.
