Elliot Madore is a Grammy Award-winning baritone, educator, and arts leader whose international career has spanned more than 16 years across many of the world’s leading opera houses, orchestras, and festivals.

A winner of the Grammy Award for Best Opera Recording, Madore has also received both Grammy and Juno Award nominations for his artistic work. He has performed with the Metropolitan Opera, San Francisco Opera, Santa Fe Opera, Opernhaus Zürich, Dutch National Opera, Bayerische Staatsoper, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Opéra de Montréal, Cincinnati Opera, the Berlin Philharmonic, London Symphony Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Boston Symphony Orchestra, The Cleveland Orchestra, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, and the Saito Kinen Festival, among many other distinguished institutions throughout North America, Europe, and Asia.

Alongside his performing career, Madore is a tenured Associate Professor of Voice at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, one of the nation’s leading conservatories, where he trains and mentors emerging professional singers. He also serves on the voice faculty of the Curtis Institute of Music, one of the world’s most selective and distinguished institutions for the training of exceptional young musicians.

His work on both sides of the profession—as an internationally active performer and a conservatory educator—has given him a rare perspective on the transition from formal training to professional life. He has seen firsthand that even exceptionally prepared artists often enter the field without sustained access to the rehearsal process, professional relationships, institutional culture, and practical knowledge that shape successful careers.
